We are excited to invite you to the first event in Göteborg for Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW)! Over 2 days, 4 speakers will describe their current research to you in a casual setting in a room with a view at Chalmers. Please join us to learn more about current research making an impact on the future of biotechnology, supported by Proteintech.
From Alignment to Application: Harnessing Magnetic Field-Driven Nanostructures for Advanced Bioengineering Applications
Dr. Viney Ghai
(Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Industrial and Materials Science, Chalmers University of Technology)
Discover how cutting-edge magnetic field alignment of nanomaterials, including graphene, can revolutionize biomedical and environmental applications. This presentation delves into the innovative use of aligned nanostructures to control bacterial behaviour, influence cell growth, fabricate tailored nanostructures, and enhance water purification. Explore how these advances are shaping the future of both bioengineering and sustainable technology.
Untangling Alzheimer’s in the absence of brain biopsies
Dr. Iván Domenzain
(Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Life Sciences, Chalmers University of Technology)
The major challenge of Alzheimer’s research is the lack of brain biopsies, preventing full diagnosis until death. My research applies integrative computational biology to study this disease through large-scale data from post-mortem samples and patients' histories.
