Welcome to the first "Small Pints" mini festival for Pint of Science 2025, held in conjunction with Vetenskapsfestivalen Göteborg! Join us at Contrast Public House for two evenings of pub science talks and quizzes! Each night, two researchers from biology, astronomy, psychology, and more, will share their stories and insights in a casual setting. You can also win fun prizes in our scientific quizzes.

NOTE: The event is completely free and open to walk-in to the public. Registering for a ticket is optional but it helps us gauge interest for the event!

Antibiotic Resistance of the Future – How to be one step ahead of the nastiest bacteria

Antibiotic resistance is a rapidly increasing threat to human health. New variants of antibiotic resistance is continuously discovered in patients, making treatment complicated or even impossible. Wouldn’t it be great if we could predict these factors resulting in resistance before they became a problem in the clinics? This talk will explore what we can do today, and what could be possible in the future to stop bacteria before they cause big problems for human health!
