Welcome to the second year of Pint of Science Gothenburg! We are excited to announce a second venue for 2025, the newly renovated Ölhallen at Pripps (Chalmers Campus). Each night, two researchers from biology, astronomy, psychology, and more, will share their stories and insights in a casual setting. You can also win fun prizes in our scientific quizzes. Nano-alloys for hydrogen gas sensors

I work with using plasmonics as a way to make sensors for hydrogen gas detection. We scan through nano-alloys with different constitution of the alloyants and test them for hydrogen detection in lab environment and also in real life environment (like in presense of NO2, CO2 or CO, or humidity or air).

Can We Detect Autism Before It Starts? Clues from the Body and Brain

Autism is a condition that affects how children communicate, behave, and experience the world. But what if we could understand the biological signs of autism before symptoms even appear? In this talk, I’ll explore how things like an infection early after birth can influence a child’s brain development, and how certain molecules in the blood or in the feces—called biomarkers—might give us early clues. I’ll explain how researchers study these changes and what they might mean for the future of early detection and support for individuals with autism.
