We seem to focus a lot on the “What”s. “What food is good for the body?” or “What is anti-inflammatory?” or “What food has a lot of antioxidants? Have you thought about the “How”s are also important?

We are all aware that signed language and spoken language are quite different in the way they come across to us. But what would you say if I told you that there is not that much difference when it comes to the way language is processed in our brains or in the different situations we encounter? Giving a special neurolinguistic flavor, I will walk you through a concept that we encounter every day: noise. Specifically, how does noise affect sign language comprehension and how does it compare to spoken language
